DESCRIPTION:Our Local Writers Night is a warm\, welcoming evening of live w
 riting\, open to both performers and audiences.\nAcross the night\, writer
 s share short readings of poetry\, spoken word and prose\, with each perfo
 rmer taking the stage for around five minutes. The event is fast-paced\, v
 aried and supportive\, making it just as enjoyable to watch as it is to ta
 ke part.\nWant to perform?Performance slots are booked in advance via a si
 mple sign-up form. We aim to make space for as many people as possible\, a
 nd everyone gets an equal slot on the night. Whether it’s your first tim
 e reading in public or you’re an experienced writer trying out new work\
 , you’re very welcome.Spaces can fill up\, so a waiting list may operate
 \, and performers are usually confirmed around two weeks before the event.

 mply to listen\, support friends\, or enjoy an evening of live writing in 
 a relaxed atmosphere. You’re very welcome to come on your own\, and we e
 ncourage audiences to stay for the whole night so every reader has the sam
 e supportive crowd.\nTickets are Pay What You Decide. Please book a ticket
  in advance. You can reserve a free ticket and pay on the night\, or donat
 e in advance if you’d prefer.\n\nDoors Open 6.30pm\, we ask all performi
 ng writers to be at the venue by 7pm\, and we normally begin at around 7.1
