SUMMARY:ViewPoint: Is There A Story In That? An Introduction to Non-Fiction
  Writing with Sherif Dhaimish
DESCRIPTION:Many of us have a story worth telling\, something that happened
  to us\, a person we knew\, or a place that shaped us\, but it's hard to k
now where to begin. In this friendly\, hands-on session\, you'll learn to
think the way an editor does: What's the real story here? Who is it for? W
hy would they want to read it? We'll turn a loose idea into a clear angle
and a strong opening\, so you leave knowing exactly what your story is and
how to start writing it. No experience needed.\n\nThis workshop is part o
f our '10 Hidden Stories' Burnley ViewPoint project\, funded by Lancashire
County Council and our community via the Spacehive crowdfunding campaign.
As part of this project\, we will run a short series of writing- and jour
nalism-based workshops to support you in submitting a piece to our next pr
inted ViewPoint publication.\n\nThis workshop is free to attend\; however\
, you must book your place in advance. Book online here: https://www.ticke
 tsource.com/burnley-words/t-glzlapd\n\nSpeaker: Sherif Dhaimish from Pendl
e Press\n\nAccess &amp\; About the venue\n\nThis workshop will take place
in The Windermere Suite at The Prairie Sports Village. This venue is fully
wheelchair accessible and there is a large car park onsite\, however it c
an get busy on an evening\, so please allow yourself plenty of time to arr
ive and find a space. The Windermere Suite is a large conference style roo
m\, this workshop will take place around several large tables\, and involv
e some one-to-one conversations. Sheriff\, our fascillitator will present
using a screen. There will be no microphones or speakers at the venue\, as
this is a small workshop designed for 15 people. If you have any addition
