Join us for a Sunday afternoon celebrating local writers and their work.
This informal launch marks the opening of a new exhibition at Rhode Island, featuring poems responding to the Why Not Burnley? campaign and short pieces on the theme A Moment to Yourself. The work will be displayed throughout the café for customers to read while enjoying a coffee and this afternoon is a chance to see it all come together.
Some of the writers included in the exhibition will be sharing a reading of their work, alongside plenty of time to look around, chat, and connect with other local creatives. Friends and family are very welcome, and as the café will be open as usual, there may also be members of the public enjoying the space.
The café is fully accessible, and all displayed material is family-friendly.
